From time to time new features are added to our forums to help enhance usability of the site or just do some really cool things. This thread is to announce and document these features as they are added to keep everyone updated.
I shall start by listing some of the thing we already have at our disposal:
Log in Methods
In addition to logging in with your DG forum account you can also log in via other methods provided you have linked them in your profile, the methods we currently have in use are:
To link them simply go to edit your profile then click the relevant sections to link your accounts.

This adds the following features:

- Games recently played

To enable these features in your profile, simply link your account to Steam using the method above. You can also add you steam profile URL directly into the box provided if you don't feel like linking the profiles together to get the same functionality.
The live streams widget you may have noticed on the right of the main forums page, this lists the top 5 streams on DG currently and also any that are currently live. You can also see the full live stream page by going to the link at the top of the forums, this will give you an overview of all DG member streams.

This is a fairly old one however some of our newer members may not be aware of this. We have a Shoutbox on the main forum page, it is at the bottom of the widget list on the right when you scroll down. This can be an incredibly useful feature for getting information to other users instantaneously and clan related announcements for news, events, and technical issues can be found here too. If you find yourself unable to access Teamspeak for any reason then this should be the first place you check.

You can also view a larger pop out window version of the Shoutbox by clicking the popout button on the widget or visiting the link below. This is useful is you woul like to keep the Shoutbox open but navigate away from the main forum page.
This is another one that is fairly straightforward and obvious but I'll post here briefly for those that may have missed it. If you hover you mousre on the Teamspeak icon on the right side of the screen you will reveal a viewer that allows you to see who's currently in the DG Teamspeak without even joining, neat huh.

Forum Skin Customisation
Almost forgot about this one but it affects your every interaction with the forums, should give it a few lines at least.
First we have the theme customiser which offers the following features:
- Choice of colour accents for the forums
- Transparent textures which are basically backgrounds but affected by the colour you choose above
- Custom pre-made backgrounds
- The ability to actually upload and use YOUR OWN background of choice
Too access it just click the spanner/screw driver symbol on the bottom right hand corner of the screen to reveal the customisation panel like below.

If you cast your gaze across to the the left-hand side in the middle you can click the little spaceship icon you can reveal another neat option. This one switches between "Normal" and "Performance" mode for browsing the forums. Performance mode strips away a lot of features and should allow faster browsing, especially on slower machines.

One for all you you system builders out there to show off your OP machines is the "System Specs" that can be proudly displayed on your posts as you can see below:
