Great to finally see some proper info regarding this CPU that has been many years in the making, looks like it didn't disappoint either. I've definitely found my next upgrade in either the 1700 or 1600x, nicely done AMD.

Anyone else thinking of making the move?

I have always used AMD and never had any issues. They really are putting the pressure on intel to release a superior product or drop their price 60%.

Yep, can't really see a way to recommend an Intel build to people after this; at least at the top end anyway.

Here's a comparison relating to gaming performance: http://wccftech.com/...ng-performance/ . Seems like a no brainer, if you want better performance at half the price then go AMD.

We've yet to see how the mid and low range stack up but of the highest CPUs are anything to go by then it's looking pretty promising.
